Why is this program only for young adults?

We have developed our program for young adults, ages 21-35, because we feel they have the most to gain by making good financial decisions early in their lives.

What is the criteria for participating in the 3rd Decade program?

You are between the ages of 21-35, have a bachelors, associate or vocational degree, rent or own your own home and have a household income between $35,000 and $100,000. It is also important that you have the capacity and commitment to save. A reasonable goal is that you be able to save at least 5% of your gross income each year. If you’re not saving now but want to start and think you could, visit our Get Started page and sign up today!

What is the cost?

There is no charge for the program or advisory services. Three out of four Americans think they could benefit from financial advice but nearly half think they can’t afford it. We don’t want cost to be a barrier.

How are the advisory services offered by the TCI Foundation different from those offered elsewhere?

We provide financial advice at no cost to you and we do not sell financial products. We are available to address financial questions as they arise. And keep in mind that we are professional financial advisors who adhere to a fiduciary standard; our advice must put your interests first. It’s important to understand that the bulk of advisors in the financial industry are not held to this higher fiduciary standard.   For more information see Get Started.
